Come visit our lively, warm, and supportive club. Our mission is to help others develop public speaking, interpersonal communication, and leadership skills. Toastmasters is a nonprofit organization, which started in 1924.

Unlike taking a college speech class, members set their own pace in completing their speech projects. After completing projects in the basic manual, you can choose 2 additional free manuals. Advanced manuals include Humorously Speaking, Storytelling, The Professional Speaker, and many others! Prepared speeches need not be long. The suggested time for most projects is about 5 to 7 minutes.

Why join? This is what our members have said ... to gain confidence performing as a songwriter/musician ... give fund raising speeches for a theater organization ... present myself positively during job interviews ... make my point at public meetings ... gain critical thinking skills and ability to think on my feet ... break habit of using uh, ah, and other filler words!

David helped charter our club in 2006 to promote these skills. He has met his own goals and remains committed to the club to help others. He currently serves as our V.P. for Public Relations.

We are Stark Raving Unitics and friends.
